“Resilience” – Limited Edition Fishing Boat Print | Coastal Working Waterfront Watercolor Wall Art

$70.00

Limited Edition Print

11” x 14”

Available - Limited Edition

“Resilience” is a rare painting I’ve made available in oil over the years. This painting was referenced from a photograph that my sister-in-law took, Erica McPhee of a boat preparing for a retrofit at Samples Shipyard in Boothbay Harbor, Maine. I am happy to report that this boat is now in far better condition and is ready to be used on the Maine coast for years to come.

It’s often interesting to paint known subjects and/ or known locations and balancing the composition of the painting with representing something people already know and are very familiar with. I am happy with how this painting developed. I like the character of the boat comes through, along with the scene of Boothbay Harbor and the gentle way the wind and water interact. I was proud to gift the finished original to my brother, and I hope this piece as a limited-edition print can bring you happiness in your space as well.

Each print is produced as part of a fixed, limited edition of 100 and is individually signed and numbered by the artist. Once an edition is fully collected, it is permanently closed and not reproduced.

The work is printed on 315 gsm (20 mil) 100% cotton rag, an archival fine art paper selected for its ability to retain tonal depth and subtle variation. The surface has a soft, matte texture with a natural warmth that closely reflects the character of the original watercolor.

Each print is prepared in the studio and presented matted in white with a rigid backing, then enclosed in protective, weather-resistant packaging for shipment.

A certificate of authenticity accompanies every piece, verifying its place within the edition and including a unique identifying number recorded by the artist.

As editions close over time, each print becomes part of a finite body of work held in private collections.
