Evangeline — Open Edition Fine Art Print

Available – Open Edition | 11” × 14” Prints

Growing up in Boothbay, Maine, boats were always part of everyday life. I spent much of my childhood around the working waterfront, learning to lobster with my father and brothers, and getting to know the people who made their living on the water.

Evangeline belongs to someone I know in Boothbay, which makes this painting a little more personal to me.

I've always appreciated the character of working boats. They're built for a purpose, and over time they become part of the places and communities where they work. You get to know them, just as you get to know the people who own them.

When I paint boats like Evangeline, I'm reminded of the waterfront I grew up around and the people who have kept those traditions alive.

I hope this painting brings you a little of that connection to the coast and perhaps reminds you of a place or community that has always felt like home.
