"Calm Waters" — Limited Edition Print | Sailboat Watercolor Art | Coastal Calm Wall Art
Available - Limited Edition of 100 | 12” x 18” Prints
I painted Calm Waters during a difficult season of my life.
I had already been sick with COVID, and it took months to fully recover. My work had me living away from my family for nearly a year and a half while managing construction on a military base. Long days often stretched into fourteen or fifteen hours, followed by evenings alone in a quiet apartment. I painted because I needed somewhere to put it all.
The sailboat came almost instinctively. Resting quietly on still water beneath an open sky, it became less about the boat itself and more about what it represented. Peace. Rest. The reassurance that calm eventually returns, even after difficult seasons.
I've always found perspective near the water. It has a way of slowing the mind and reminding me that not every moment demands action. Sometimes simply being still is enough.
Looking back, I think that's why this painting has continued to resonate with people. We all go through periods when life feels uncertain or overwhelming. Calm Waters is a reminder that those moments don't last forever.
Collector Information
Each print is produced as part of a fixed, limited edition of 100 and is individually signed and numbered by the artist. Once an edition is fully collected, it is permanently closed and not reproduced.
Printed on Arches Aquarelle Rag 310 - a 100% cotton archival paper produced by Arches, one of France's historic papermakers with a tradition dating back more than 500 years. The print is created using Canon Lucia archival pigment inks rated for more than 100 years of display life. The surface has a soft, matte texture with a natural warmth that closely reflects the character of the original watercolor.
Each print is prepared in the studio and presented professionally matted in white with a rigid backing, then enclosed in protective, weather-resistant packaging for shipment. Each print is professionally matted to fit a standard 18” x 24” frame.
A certificate of authenticity accompanies every piece, verifying its place within the edition and including a unique identifying number recorded by the artist.
Room images are provided to help visualize how this artwork may look once professionally framed and displayed in a home. Limited edition prints are shipped professionally matted and ready for framing. If you would like to receive your print professionally framed and ready to hang, please contact me before placing your order. I'd be happy to arrange custom framing and shipping. The final cost will depend on your choice of frame and shipping destination.
